SUMMARY:7th CO2 Value Days & General Assembly
DESCRIPTION:The 7th CO2 Value Days and General Assembly is an annual event that is aimed to discuss the latest Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) developments and the work of CO2 Value Europe Association. It will take place the next 5-6 October and will be hosted by Leitat at the Leitat Technological Center\, located in Terrassa\, in close proximity to Barcelona\, Spain. \nDuring the CO2 Value Days\, policymakers at the European level have been invited to update you on the plans of the European Union for the development of CCU (e.g. through the elaboration of the European Strategy for CCU and CCS expected at the end of 2023). The event will also be the opportunity to hear about the progress of impactful projects at the EU level and describe CO2 Value Europe’s vision for the assessable contribution of CCU in Europe’s Green Deal. \nIn order to align with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second semester of 2023\, the goal is to link the European context to the national context in a country that is expected to play a central role in the transition to more renewable and circular production systems. National actors will highlight the efforts done at a national level and how these can be synchronised and coordinated with other Member States and with Europe overall. \nIn addition\, Leitat will be kindly offering a guided visit to its laboratories Bio-Electrochemical Systems; Membranes (CO2 and H2 capture/separation) and Hydrogen & Electromethanation of CO2. \nPlease find here the latest draft agenda. \nThe event is open to CO₂ Value Europe Members or by invitation only. If you are not a member but wish to participate\, please feel free to contact Antonio La Mantia at Antonio.lamantia@co2value.eu\, Lili Chatzikonstantinou at lili.chatzikonstantinou@co2value.eu\, or Rebecca Magni at rebecca.magni@co2value.eu for further information. \nThe registration deadline is the 17th of September at the latest.

SUMMARY:SUNER-C General Assembly\, WP6 Stakeholder Dialogue Workshop & 3rd Consortium Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This SUNER-C 2-day event will take place from 10-11 October 2023\, in Brussels. This event will include 3 different sessions as follow: \n📅 10th October afternoon: SUNER-C General Assembly and social walking dinner (free of charge)📅 11th October morning: WP6 Stakeholder Dialogue Workshop and lunch included📅 11th October afternoon: 3rd  SUNER-C Consortium Meeting (only for consortium partners & IAB members) \n\n \n Agenda\n \n \n \n \n \n ➡ The SUNER-C’s yearly general assembly will give you the possibility to be informed about the 1st year’s achievements of our project\, plan future steps\, and invite new stakeholders to be involved. We will also present some policy aspects and provide elements of context for our initiative within the EU landscape. We will present our vision\, highlight the engagement of our community throughout the roadmap development process\, introduce some of our international (beyond EU) collaborations\, and a keynote speech on the achievements and planning for the future of SUNERGY beyond the SUNER-C. \n➡ During the stakeholder dialogue session\, we will create a dialogue between prominent SUNER-C representatives of research and industry on the one side\, and key societal stakeholders on the other side. The goal is to become more aware of the needs and concerns of these stakeholders\, like NGOs and unions\, in an early stage of technology development\, so their interests may be reflected in transition pathways to be taken. There will be discussions with the audience and reflections by more stakeholders to ensure discussion between the quadruple helix (i.e.\, industry\, research\, government\, and civil society). \n➡ The 3rd SUNER-C consortium meeting will be the opportunity to meet in person\, network with colleagues\, and work together towards the success of our SUNER-C project. As a representative of a SUNER-C consortium\, your participation and that of colleagues of your organisation who will be involved in the project is key. \n🔗 Last days to register!! Register now here. \nIf you need any further information\, please feel free to contact Lili Chatzikonstantinou at lili.chatzikonstantinou@co2value.eu or Arnau Jordà at ajorda@iciq.es for further information.

SUMMARY:Uppsala University conference on Solar fuels\, Electro fuels\, Green hydrogen and CO2 valorization
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to a conference on research and innovation towards the sustainable production\, use\, and implementation of fossil-free fuels and base chemicals\, by direct hydrogen production and CO2 valorization from renewable energy and abundant molecules (CO2\, water\, nitrogen). The conference will be a 2-day meeting\, starting after lunch on Tuesday 24th October\, and ending with lunch on Thursday 26th October\, at the Eva von Bahr Lecture Hall\, Uppsala University (Sweden). \nThis conference aims to bring together researchers\, companies\, policymakers\, and other stakeholders\, interested in the development of solar fuels\, electro-fuels\, and sustainable base chemicals in Sweden and Europe. The different sessions will introduce the state-of-the-art in areas such as electrocatalysis\, artificial photosynthesis\, CO2 conversion\, advanced microbial cell factories\, and scaleup and implementation strategies. \nWe will cover current research\, as well as pilot projects and prospects for the future. The meeting is organized in collaboration with \, an open European stakeholder community working towards the conversion and storage of renewable energy into fossil-free fuels and chemicals\, and establishing a European partnership. An important aspect of this meeting is also to highlight R&D policies in this area\, in Sweden and the EU. We have therefore especially invited representatives from funding agencies in Sweden\, as well as the European Commission. \n📝 Students and postdocs are welcome to present posters. \n📄 Read the program of the meeting here. \n📄 Check the List of Posters here.
