The 7th CO2 Value Days and General Assembly is an annual event that is aimed to discuss the latest Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) developments and the work of CO2 Value Europe Association. It will take place the next 5-6 October and will be hosted by Leitat at the Leitat Technological Center, located in Terrassa, in close proximity to Barcelona, Spain.
During the CO2 Value Days, policymakers at the European level have been invited to update you on the plans of the European Union for the development of CCU (e.g. through the elaboration of the European Strategy for CCU and CCS expected at the end of 2023). The event will also be the opportunity to hear about the progress of impactful projects at the EU level and describe CO2 Value Europe’s vision for the assessable contribution of CCU in Europe’s Green Deal.
In order to align with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second semester of 2023, the goal is to link the European context to the national context in a country that is expected to play a central role in the transition to more renewable and circular production systems. National actors will highlight the efforts done at a national level and how these can be synchronised and coordinated with other Member States and with Europe overall.
In addition, Leitat will be kindly offering a guided visit to its laboratories Bio-Electrochemical Systems; Membranes (CO2 and H2 capture/separation) and Hydrogen & Electromethanation of CO2.
Please find here the latest draft agenda.
The event is open to CO₂ Value Europe Members or by invitation only. If you are not a member but wish to participate, please feel free to contact Antonio La Mantia at [email protected], Lili Chatzikonstantinou at [email protected], or Rebecca Magni at [email protected] for further information.
The registration deadline is the 17th of September at the latest.
