We invite you to a conference on research and innovation towards the sustainable production, use, and implementation of fossil-free fuels and base chemicals, by direct hydrogen production and CO2 valorization from renewable energy and abundant molecules (CO2, water, nitrogen). The conference will be a 2-day meeting, starting after lunch on Tuesday 24th October, and ending with lunch on Thursday 26th October, at the Eva von Bahr Lecture Hall, Uppsala University (Sweden).
This conference aims to bring together researchers, companies, policymakers, and other stakeholders, interested in the development of solar fuels, electro-fuels, and sustainable base chemicals in Sweden and Europe. The different sessions will introduce the state-of-the-art in areas such as electrocatalysis, artificial photosynthesis, CO2 conversion, advanced microbial cell factories, and scaleup and implementation strategies.
We will cover current research, as well as pilot projects and prospects for the future. The meeting is organized in collaboration with , an open European stakeholder community working towards the conversion and storage of renewable energy into fossil-free fuels and chemicals, and establishing a European partnership. An important aspect of this meeting is also to highlight R&D policies in this area, in Sweden and the EU. We have therefore especially invited representatives from funding agencies in Sweden, as well as the European Commission.
📝 Students and postdocs are welcome to present posters.
